The Boutiques Story

Founded in 2002, Boutiques is a twice yearly shopping event that promotes quality, design-led merchandise. The fair was established and continues to be directed by Charlotte Cain, who has made Singapore her home since moving here in 1989. As a passionate advocate of small, Singapore-based businesses, Charlotte wanted to create a shopping platform where designers could showcase collections, directly interface with customers, and gain valuable feedback about work. By only featuring a curated selection of independent, design-led, and socially responsible brands, Boutiques has become an acclaimed shopping event which enjoys tremendous success with Singaporeans, expatriates, and international tourists.

The Boutiques Experience

During Boutiques, the F1 Pit Building is turned into a dynamic, immersive shopping platform of mini shop spaces filled with floor-to-ceiling decor, furniture, warm light, and good vibes. Complementing the extensive shopping selection is a diverse mix of fringe activities: artisan demonstrations, craft workshops, styling talks, food and drink tastings, and much more. Join us to discover the Boutiques difference.

The Boutiques Community

We are proud to have over 300 brands across women’s and men’s fashion and accessories; furniture and home décor; lifestyle products; and children’s goods and fashion. Our vendors are a curated mix of established and emerging designers. Over 80% of our community is social responsible, with practices that range from using eco-friendly materials to sustainable and ethical production methods.

Boutiques for Charity

Boutiques has a long history of sponsoring charities, non-profit organisations, and social enterprises at each Boutiques edition. Visitors can visit the various spaces around Boutiques to learn how to volunteer with and support these organisations. Organisations we have worked with include: the Humanitarian Organisation of Migration Economics (HOME); BABES Pregnancy Crisis Support; The Nail Social; The Social Space; Sanctuary Care — Boys’ Town; Center Pottery; the Netherlands Charity Association (NCA); Riau Candle Company; TruCup; Hello Flowers!; and Ladli.
