To celebrate the relaunch of Morph, G R A Y E has collaborated with three talented local artists - Amie Kwok, Chris Chew, and Ron Cruz - challenging them to rework the Morph Sling using recycled materials and production offcuts. Preview these creations at G R A Y E in Scarlet, L3, where each creation will be available for public auction with a starting bid of SGD200 on G R A Y Eโ€™s website. All proceeds will go towards funding research, treatment and support for cancer patients initiated by Fashion for Cancer (FFC).

Panelists include Isabel Galiano, a two-time breast cancer survivor and a certified Nutrition & Health Coach; Dr. Saveen Kang, founder and Lead Clinical Psychologist of Psych Connect Singapore; and Richard Koh, a director with Fashion For Cancer, a charity fashion show that fundraises for cancer research and financial aid.

Jumputan (tie-dye) is one of the traditional processes of applying patterns and colors to fabric. It involves tyeing rubber bands or strings around the fabric to create desired patterns. This process is one of the oldest and simplest dyeing technologies developed by humans, following the discovery of spinning cotton into yarn. In this workshop, participants will learn various jumputan techniques to create different patterns. Indigo dye will be used for colouring. Each participant will receive one cotton scarf for tie-dyeing. Scarves will be dyed on Mon, 29 Apr at aNERDgallery, which participants are welcome to join.

This workshop is led by Nuri NH, founder of Marenggo Natural Dyes Studio. She presents the traditional tritik Javanese technique. Tritik cloth is made by stitching the cloth according to a desired motif. After stitching, the thread is pulled so that the stitching is tight and becomes a lump of cloth. After colouring and pulling the threads, a white decoration emerges based on the basting. Participants will stitch a scarf during the session at Boutiques. Scarves will be dyed on Mon, 29 Apr at aNERDgallery, which participants are welcome to join.
